Success for Faculty of Science academics in Peer Prize for Women in Science
Congratulations to Dr Sara Morón (Earth Sciences) and Dr Hannah Fraser (BioSciences) for coming 2nd and 5th respectively in the 2017 Peer Prize for Women in Science.
From 1,365 PhD votes, Dr Morón received 82 votes for her work titled ‘The power of La Niña: its effect on rivers, floodplains and humans, and Dr Fraser received 40 votes for her work titled ‘Lessons on scientific practice from ‘woodland birds.’ The female academics were up against 45 entries from across Australia.
The Peer Prize is an annual prize for women researchers across Australia with a mission to accelerate open knowledge exchange and cross-disciplinary innovation.
