How do I find a supervisor?
You are encouraged to
contact our academic staff directly to discuss
your research interests with them. Further information about the
research undertaken in the School of Earth Sciences may be found
by viewing the information under Research
or take a look at our potential PhD/MSc
projects. The University of Melbourne also produces an annual
research report which can be accessed on the Web. Use code 625
if you only want to look at research done in the School of Earth
Sciences as this will speed your search.

How do I apply?
If you are applying
for either the MSc (Research) or the PhD courses you can obtain
application forms from the School, by visiting the web site of the
School
of Graduate Studies for further information about this process.
Information on the MEnvSci is available from the School and the
Faculty of Science Office.

What scholarships are
available?
A range of scholarships
are available to support postgraduate study. The School
of Graduate Studies administers most of the scholarships available
to postgraduate students through the Scholarships Office. A number
of bequests and other departmental scholarships enable the School
to "top up" the scholarships offered through the School
of Graduate Studies. You should apply for scholarships offered through
the School of Graduate Studies when you apply for your course but
you are also encouraged to check with your proposed supervisor(s)
about any other financial support that may be able to be arranged
for you.
